Visa requirements for a stay in Cambodia

A Cambodian visa is required to enter the country.  

Obtaining a Visa in France

You can obtain your visa from the Cambodian consulate in your city. To do so, you will need to bring a passport photo, your passport, and a photocopy of it. A form must also be filled out, which can be downloaded below: (create a link to download the file). In France, the tourist visa (Type T) will cost 40 euros and will be issued to you after a processing time of 48 hours.  

Obtaining a visa on arrival

You can also obtain your entry visa at all international airports in Cambodia. Simply fill out a form on-site and present a passport photo. The visa will cost 35 US dollars. Please note: some immigration officers may attempt to inflate the prices – be cautious! This is more common at land border crossings, though it can occasionally occur at airports.  

Obtaining a Visa online

A third option is to apply for your visa online via the official website evisa.gov.kh. For this, you will only need a scanned passport photo and a credit card. The cost will be 30 dollars for the visa, 6 dollars for processing fees, and the visa will be delivered to you via email within 3 days. This type of visa will not cause any issues at airports, but it may not always be accepted at land and sea borders, as some border posts lack the necessary equipment to process this type of visa. Note that once in Cambodia, you can only renew your visa once. If your visa expires while you are still in Cambodia, renew it as soon as possible! Each day spent in the country without a valid visa will incur a fine of 5 dollars.
