Traveling to Cambodia
To travel to Cambodia, more than a dozen airlines offer flights to the country’s international airports, including Phnom Penh Airport (Pochentong) and Siem Reap Airport. It is important to note that none of these airlines provide direct flights to Cambodia. Generally, you will need to make one or two layovers depending on the airline you choose.

Depending on the airline, layovers often occur in Bangkok (Thailand), Vientiane (Laos), Hanoi (Vietnam), or Singapore.
The average price of a flight to Cambodia is around 650 euros. This price can vary depending on the departure month. A round-trip flight in March may cost about 550 euros, whereas in July, it could rise to 980 euros. You will find the best rates when traveling in March, May, September, or November. Tip: It is recommended to depart on a Tuesday and return on a Wednesday to get even better prices!

If you are departing from Europe, it is better to take a flight that leaves in the early evening and try to sleep as soon as possible to minimize the effects of jet lag, which is 5 hours ahead. This way, you can enjoy your stay from the very beginning!
As with all international and/or long-haul flights, it is advisable to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. This will help you leave stress-free and prepared for any unforeseen airport issues, such as long queues.
Generally, for flights to Cambodia, passengers are allowed to carry between 25 and 30 kg of luggage per person.
